Welcome to the official website of Britain's longest, toughest, non-stop running race. The Grand Union Canal Race (GUCR) is run from the centre of Birmingham to the centre of London along the Grand Union Canal. Competitors are required to complete the 145 mile distance within the time limit of 45 hours.

Anyone wanting a nice, low-key, sixish mile trot in the countryside, is welcome to join us for a noon start from Compton Recreation ground. The village fete takes place at the same site, so there'll be plenty to amuse the family too. 30/05/2010 - PAT ROBBINS WINS GUCR2010
Pat Robbins has defended his title, and equalled his own record set last year, crossing the Finish line at Little Venice in a time of 26hrs and 24 minutes. Mimi Anderson smashed the ladies record to finish in 28hrs and 12mins.(Click title to view Result.)
